So I forgot to amend the record time for my recording program and so it cuts off at like 71 minutes. But I was going to end with that track anyway.

Those of you who know me, know that I am a huge fan of John Digweed and have been listening to him destroy peoples eardrums for over 12 years. So when he had a mix contest to promote his Structures 2 release on Beatport I had to get in. Was my mix selected? Well no... but that doesn't meant that I hate Digweed all of a sudden. Those of you who were familiar with the contest, know that it was for a 30 minute mix. So here is the full length rendition of that mix. Pretty nasty if you ask me but I'll let it speak for itself. Enjoy...Special Guest Episode (Jonathan Storm)
July 12, 2011 04:14 PM PDT
Here is a special guest Drum and Bass mix by ADG DJ Jonathan Storm. He is one of the most dynamic and versatile Electronic Dance Music DJs around. Jonathan Storm's energy is not only felt in his music but also in his showmanship. He is a veteran in the game having more than a decade of experience playing in clubs and lounges in New York City. Places like Le Souk, Guernica, Movida, Saphire and Porch to name a few. Jonathan was exposed to house music at the age of 12 by his older brother who at the time was a DJ himself. He immediately felt hypnotized by the sound of house and wanted to follow in his brother's foot steps. He started his DJ carerer at the age of 15 and got his first shot at the infamous Tunnel night club at the age of 21 in the late 90's where he was one of the residents playing along with Kris Spirit, Gonzo and Eddie Baez. His love for the music and it's culture is abundant. Jonathan's DJ sets have been praised for his excellent range, selection and technique. Whether its house, tech house, techno, drum and bass or anything in between, his passion is felt equally. With plans on releasing original recordings in the near future, Jonathan Storm is ready to take his place among the elite DJs in city and beyond.
Jonathan will be DJ'ing at Bar 13 on July 20th and at The Copper Barrel on the 22nd. You can catch up Jonathan and all of the other ADG DJ's at http://www.meetup.com/Astoria-DJ-Meetup-Group/. Also catch Jonathan's web broadcast weekly on Wednesdays at 2pm EST http://www.ustream.tv/channel/phuturesoulradio.

I think that deep down, we all love trance. I personally do not listen to it regularly and haven't actually done a full blown trance mix in almost 10 years. So I was in a mood and decided, what the hell? It ain't easy being cheesy!
So yeah, this is my podcast. Listen to it. Enjoy it. Do I really need to say anything else.
Nasty Nick is generally considered to be a techno/ progressive house DJ, though he does not limit himself to any one genre. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Nick delved into electronic music in the mid 90's listening to groups like Crystal Method and Rabbit in the Moon. However, the Album that changed everything was Global Underground's John Digweed (Sydney). After listening to this in 1999 Nick found his calling and began DJ'ing in early 2000. Nick quickly earned a residency at a local Jacksonville nightclub (The Cellar, 2001) where Nick's dark groovy sounds earned him the "Nasty" tag early on. Since moving to Orlando in 2002, Nasty Nick has had the opportunity to play at shows with internationally renown talent such as: Paul Oakenfold, Hybrid and Kenneth Thomas. He has also been fortunate enough to share the decks with such Florida talent as: Kinesis (kinesis productions), Carlos Mendoza (heat productions), Joshua Binczak (Elite Promote), Joshua Martin (Jade Entertainment), Hendrix, DJ Donna, DJ Matt Silver (MattSilver Music) and Fobia. Nick has played at many venues across the state of Florida including: Destiny Nightclub (Orlando), The Blue Room (Jacksonville), Zinc Bar (Orlando), Fusian Ultra Lounge (Orlando), Sky60 (Orlando), Crooked Bayou (Orlando), The Peacock Room (Orlando), Evolution (Jacksonville), Endo Exo (Jacksonville), The Cellar (Jacksonville) and C.P.A. (Tallahassee). Nick electrifies every dance floor he presides over with a beat that never stops and a rolling bass line that keeps the house moving. In 2000, Nasty Nick and Joshua Martin played a tag team set at "The Cellar" and ever since that evening they have been dominating dance floors together. Each has his own style, which are completely different and yet they complement eachother like so many great dj tandems (Sasha & Digweed, Deep Dish and Zabiela & Fanciulli). In 2008, they started performing under "Electronic Collective" and soon realized that the new name represented much more than the two of them when they appeared behind the decks. It represented the fellowship and collective spirit of everyone involved in their event and in the entire electronic music scene. Since this realization, Electronic Collective has come to include the Jade Entertainment dj's as well as two new additions in Hendrix and DJ Donna. "We hope that Electronic Collective becomes more than just an association of dj's like Jade. We hope that it embodies the feel and vibe of the EDM scene, a true collective spirit of the scene". 2010 was a year of change and new opportunity for Nasty Nick as he moved to the house music hub of the United States, New York City. He also went on a three stop mini tour in Russia, where he played an epic five hour set to a packed house at Stena in Leningradskaya followed by a 2 hour afterhours set at Figaro. He wrapped up his trip to Russia by closing down a huge outdoor party on the Don River, rocking till the sun came up.
